
Congratulations! You’re having a baby, it is the best news in the world and now the fun begins...shopping for your new arrival.
It’s tough to know where to start when you are expecting a baby but here at Mama + Max we have tried to make it as simple as possible by putting together this checklist for you. We have included all the gorgeous bits and pieces you can buy from us, as well as a few other things you’ll need.
Nursery
- Baby Nest – The nest provides your baby with a safe feeling in the transition from mummy’s tummy to sleeping in a cot.

- Sleeping Bag – these are one of the safest forms of bedding for your baby when used correctly. We recommend 1.0 tog in the summer months when the weather is warmer and 2.5 tog in the winter months when it starts to get cold outside.
- Changing Mat – We have a great selection of changing mats and baskets to make changing nappies much for fun and stylish
Bathtime
- Bath Towels – we recommend 3 or 4 hooded bath towels, so you have spares and can keep your precious bundle of joy warm and snuggly after bathtime whilst you get them dry
- Baby Brush

- Wash Cloth – baby bath towel mitts have been designed to keep bathtime simple so you can wash your baby whilst using your other hand to hold them steady
- Nail Scissors or clippers
- Bath Toys – keeping your little one entertained, choose toys with no holes so they stay hygienic and mould free.
- Bath Books – make bathtime fun and encourage a love of books from an early age
Playtime
